This is not a political post

This is not a political post nor is it an endorsement of any candidate. It can’t be, because racism isn’t political, right? Lynching isn’t political, right? Calling for violence isn’t political, right?

Here is some factual information that is factual regardless of anyone’s political persuasion. This is a direct quote and my sharing it alongside this news article does not constitute an endorsement of any candidate or party. It is unsettling and deeply troubling, but not at all political because political beliefs don’t change facts.

In November 2024, during a rally in Glendale, Arizona, Donald Trump referred to former Representative Liz Cheney as a “radical war hawk” and suggested:

“Let’s put her with a rifle standing there with nine barrels shooting at her, OK? And let’s see how she feels about it, you know, when the guns are trained on her face.”

This statement was interpreted by many as a suggestion of violence.

Local Halloween parade receives backlash over float depicting Trump leading Harris in chains – WPXI

The float depicted former President Donald Trump riding in a golf cart-style vehicle, with people dressed as Secret Service members surrounding him. On the top of the vehicle was a fake sniper rifle, and following behind was a woman resembling Vice President Kamala Harris.

That woman appeared to have her hands strapped together and was tethered to the golf cart.
