FFRF Action Fund Urges Public Comment on Religious Liberty Commission Report Before July 13

The United States’ Religious Liberty Commission has issued a draft report which proposes, among other things:

  • Abandoning longstanding First Amendment principles.
  • Expanding governmental promotion of religion in public schools and other public institutions.
  • Repealing the Johnson Amendment so that tax-exempt churches can engage in partisan electioneering.
  • Resurrecting the failed 2018 “Religious Liberty Task Force”.
  • Creating new hotlines dedicated to advancing preferred religious claims
  • Encouraging judicial appointments based on a particular ideological vision of religious liberty.
In a July 7 Action Alert, the Freedom From Religion Foundation Action Fund urges FFRF members and supporters to submit public comment about the report before the July 13 deadline.

To submit public comment visit this page on the FFRF Action Fund site, complete the “Act Now!” Form, and submit your comments.

The deadline to submit public comment is July 13. More Info:
